According to the new report of International Data Corporation (I.D.C) the Institute of National Market Research, Samsung has the lordship in the Indian market with 15.76%. But it is not true. With 13.33% of market sharing, micro max is in the second position. The success of fun book presented by micro max will leads to their second position.After the success of fun book, micro max presents a new tablet series named Canvas. The smart phone model, canvas by micro max was easily sold out recently. That’s why, they decided to launch the tablet in the same title.
Micro max has introduced its first tablet in the Canvas series, calling it the Canvas Tab P650. Until now the domestic maker has been launching tablets under its Fun book portfolio. The new Canvas Tab has been launched at Rs. 16,500, and will be available in stores on Wednesday.
With the 8-inch tablet with voice calling feature, Micro max is trying to compete against similarly priced Samsung tablet 3 as well as the Apple iPad Mini among others. But will it really be able to live up to the expectations
The Micro max Canvas Tab P650 comes with 8 inch IPS display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core processor alongside 1GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via micro SD card. It runs Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean and is upgradable via FOTA (firmware over the air). The tablet sports a 5 megapixel autofocus rear camera while there is also a 2 megapixel front-facing camera onboard.
The micro max unveils fun book P 255 which launched in the last week. It is the cheapest local smart phone maker’s recent addition to its 7 inch budget tablet lineup priced at 4,499/- only.
The Micro max Fun book P 255 has a 7 inch capacitive screen with a resolution of 800×400 pixels. The tablet is powered by a Cortex A8 processor clocked to 1.2GHz with Mali 400 GPU along with 512MB of RAM.
The tablet comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich version 4.0.4 has 2-megapixel rear shooter and a 0.3 megapixel VGA front shooter for photography, video recording and video calling needs. The tablet comes with 1.15 GB of available internal memory which can be expanded by micro SD up to 32GB, should the need arise.
The tablet packs a 2600mAh Li Polymer battery that offers a standby time of up to 150 hours and internet browsing time of up to 4 hours. The connectivity options on the Micro max Fun book P255 include Wi-Fi, A-GPS, micro USB and 3G which is supported via the use of a dongle. The tablet has a music player, access to the Google Play store and games. Other features include Widgets, Multi-tasking, VOIP Apps, Alarm, Calculator, Calendar, Apps and Skype.
