Xiaomi, a prominent Chinese technology company, has committed significantly to invest a staggering $10 billion (equivalent to approximately Rs. 83,500 crore) in the automotive industry over ten years.
This substantial investment showcases Xiaomi’s determination to establish a strong presence in China’s electric vehicle (EV) market. Notably, Xiaomi has managed to secure approval from the authorities, which is a noteworthy achievement considering the cautious approach taken by regulators due to the existing oversupply of EVs in the market.
Lei has emphasized the technological prowess of this product, claiming that it surpasses both Tesla cars and Porsche’s electric vehicles in terms of acceleration capabilities.
Xiaomi’s retail outlets in China unveiled the new car model on Monday, attracting a crowd of interested buyers and automotive enthusiasts eager to catch a glimpse of the stunning “ocean blue” variant.
